Experience on my introduction to Korean studies

I am from 2002 began to learn Korean, not only did not even, and never had any training. On and off until now, already 5 years. I can't say how high the standards of their Korean, but now at least Korea friend direct communication is not much of a problem, to give Korea friend Han Yufa email, watch Korea film without recourse to captions and voiceover (listen to music and sometimes a bit difficult, huh). Now, I like to say that I started learning experience, dedicated to learn Korea language friends, welcome criticism. I wish you all have learned something, find happiness in Korean.

1, introduction to learning environments

in the induction phase, go have a certain standard of Korea student friend, helps you learn, so get started faster, efficient, compress time to get started with quickly learned level. In the initial stage of learning, with the Korea Exchange friend, built directly on the Korean most accurate instincts, learn a lot of good for the future.

If you don't have this condition, that there is a way, it is downloaded on the network a with Korean subtitles for a movie or TV show, read, listen to, in the getting started phase we'll do that, not for ability to understand, to understand how much, but to establish accurate, intuitive and instinctive feeling for Korean. Learn every day, forcing his ears listening to real Korean, definitely useful.

in addition, it is best to read a little bit about the basics of General Linguistics, so you'll understand various linguistic phenomena (particularly complex sound changes in Korean) definitely has the advantage.

2, pronunciation

on things in the book, the theory of networks, teachers said very carefully, you will not repeat them. Would like to remind everyone that, in the pronunciation section, actually change the most important and most worth effort to figure out, rather than the  40 alphabet. Don't stay on the letters stopped. SINA UC room in Korean pronunciation of FLASH software is very good, recommend that you use over and over again, frantically practicing bar. If you are entry-order   done what I have said in the first part, then pronunciation should not be difficult.

3, vocabulary

in my view, two important principles is to learn a language: a vocabulary accumulation; b must not easily forgive myself! Every day simply to learn a few words in the text, it is definitely not enough! Suggested time for plenty of beginner's friends, the pronunciation after the close, just a lot of words, preferably combined with the example sentence memory, was more impressed. Importance of vocabulary for languages, believed to have friends to have the experience of foreign language learning experiences. If they think a day to complete the task of textbooks after all, easy to relieve yourself, then the lack of great harm to learn more vocabulary and even shake the confidence of you go on to learn!

4, on grammar

here I am not going to speak Korean syntax details, I would like to say from the bigger side of Korean grammar problems. You know, Korea belongs to the Altaic language (though academics have argued about this, but we're not going to hell), Altaic languages differs from other languages is an important feature of his adhesion. In other words, the Altaic languages, including Korean, is agglutinative language type, this type of language is sticking behind the stem of large, rich suffix to express semantics, such as:??  ~~~???  ~~~???  ~~~????  ~~~??  , And so on. In contrast is that English, Russian belongs to the Indo-European, they are the tortuous language type, depends on inflections to express the meaning of the word itself, for example: picture~~pictures,go~~~went,come~~~coming and belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language, is an isolating language types, depending on word order to convey meaning. Realize the importance of this point, can solve many of the puzzles you learn Korean, can make you understand Korean and Chinese, English nature where, in order to better guide your study.

5, primer

learning a new language, primer selection is very important. Now we use textbooks, is the standard of Korea English, there is also a lot, these are good materials, but whether they were fit to get started are a different story. I think that beginners should choose a suitable for introductory study of short primary textbooks (textbook said many on the market now), it again when you are finished, in other words after basically solve the problem of getting started, then follow the standard Korea system to systematically learn the language, the effect will be better, this is definitely not a waste of time. For example, in the part of speech, I think the long and distributed learning is no good, and should focus on reinforcement learning, learn letters and sounds in a very short time, repetition, consolidation, and more importantly, take the time to master the phonetic rules. That way of 35 letters a day is not without merit.

6, criteria for entry

I believe that complete the entry criteria are as follows:

1) familiar with Korea linguistic characteristics of language;

2) complete control of Korean writing and pronunciation of the letter;

3) master and skilled use of basic phonetic rules;

4) master 100 common words used in everyday life;

5) simple dialogue, such as yourself, judge;

6) in terms of grammar, at least master the declarative, interrogative, imperative, total-end usage of the suffix.

If you can meet the six criteria mentioned above (not hard, right? ), Then congratulations, you have entered into the Korea language, that is to say, you have the basic skills to learn Korean, whether you're Korean professional, whether you participate in the Korean training is not important. As long as you can maintain interest, as long as you have faith and perseverance, you become a Korean player that day just around the corner.
